1. A day spent with family celebrating the New Year. I had rather too much fun helping my cousin's two year old son play with the present we bought for him. They do say you always buy people what you would like to receive yourself!
2. Perhaps inspired by yesterday's creativity, I decided to use my new notebook (a gratefully received Christmas gift) to do an illustration for my first attempt at Word of the Week. I loved lifting out an old set of coloured pencils and fineliners - more drawing this year I think!
3. Lots of things making me happy in this picture. A warming cup of tea, much needed after my second session of C25K - it was great to be out in the fresh air with Millie dragging me along - she can still run faster than me! Also note the matching coaster and tablemat - a Christmas gift off my Grandad, complete with co-ordinating tray as well. Something I didn't realise I wanted until I opened it, and laying the table with my new set each day has made me smile every time.

Love your pictures. Notebooks always make me smile - I have a few untouched ones and must start using them and do some planning :) Well done on doing C25k I started running January last yr to do the Team Honk relay and absolutely loved it but ended up with knee injuries, I think I did too much too soon so may try the c25k and take it bit by bit :)
ReplyDeletethank you! can't beat a new notebook :) i still don't believe i'll be a runner at the end of it, but it's got to be worth a try!

DeleteGreat start to your 365 project! I do this too, I've just started year 4! Have you heard of th e365 website? It's a great (and friendly) place to upload and great for inspiration, tips and tricks and learning new things - plus amazing photos from around the world! Just thought I'd mention it in case it interests you. If you wanted to sign up, you can add photos to previous dates so you could upload the above :)

thanks Louise, I will have a look at the website, it sounds like a good idea!
DeleteKatie, you WILL be a runner by the end of it, I promise you! I am going out for a run tomorrow morning, and am now running for 36 minutes without stopping. When I finished the 9 weeks of the c25k I just started adding on 2 minutes a week, i.e. every 3 runs, and it seems to be working so far. I do recognise the sense of disbelief that you are going through though, I still feel that my runs somehow aren't as valid as other peoples', which is a bit nutty, but I can't help it! Good luck finishing week one, keep me in touch with your progress, I am so interested in how you are getting on! Email me if you don't want to leave comments on my blog about it XX
ReplyDeleteOh Penny thank you so much - it has, as expected gone by the wayside on our holidays, so it looks like I will be going for third time lucky. Well done on your incredible progress, and I know exactly what you mean about the disbelief, here's to persistence! xx

ReplyDeletethank you so much for visiting, I would love to be a regular runner!
DeleteGreat painting, The Boy goes ridiculous with magic painting books and gets all the colours mixed together which just annoys me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Project 365 and good luck with the year ahead.
thanks! I think I did get a little too involved!
